10 Ways to Spot a Fake US Navy SEAL

James Kara Murat asked:

It’s a fact, that the very name ‘Navy SEALs’ opens a whole lot of doors for an individual. Frauds are not averse to proclaiming themselves to be SEALs to cheat people or to get a job they don’t truly deserve.

It’s very important that you check the antecedents of a person claiming to be a Navy SEAL. However, sometimes even the most rigorous cross-examination does not tell you whether the person is the real deal or not. Given below are 10 ways to spot a fake US Navy SEAL.

Camouflage Clothing Covered with Medals and Tridents

Smell a rat when the person is dressed up in camouflage clothing replete with numerous ribbons, tridents, and patches. No SEAL is going to walk around in this type of clothing when not on duty. Moreover, a Navy SEAL will always shy away from an ‘in your face’ display of his SEAL credentials.

Always remember the fact that a trident has to be earned and a Navy SEAL does not have n number of tridents to his credit. The same is the case with those patches and symbols.

Doesn’t Know His Class Number

There is absolutely no way in the world that US Navy SEALs are going to forget their class number. Moreover, to cover up the person might tell you that he did not have to go through the BUD/S training routine.

Team 6

Just about everybody wants to be in Team 6, the elite team within the elite. A fake Navy SEAL will always tell you that he was in Team 6.

Doesn’t remember the Details

When asked for pointed details about places, names, dates, etc, a fake SEAL will always tell you that such information is top secret and cannot be given out. This is quite true but there is quite a bit a real Navy SEAL will be able to tell you about his tour of duty or some such details

Emotional Glorification

Fake Navy SEALs can weave a good emotional story glorifying their valor. Very often they claim to have been taken prisoner and have supposedly faced tremendous hardships. Moreover, another likely story could be the wiping out of his entire platoon and his having escaped through sheer determination and courage.

Medal Talk

Keeps talking about his medals and a few also claim to have been awarded the Medal of Honor. Remember, that US Navy SEALs don’t like talking about their accomplishments and the medals that they have earned.

Can’t Remember the Names of His Superiors

Forget about the names of his platoon officer or commanding officer, a fake Navy SEAL cannot even remember the name of his swim buddy. A sure giveaway!

Advertising Killings

Fake Navy SEALs think that this is one way they can appear to be brave. Yes, stay away from the people who claim to have killed scores of people on their mission. As can be imagined a real Navy SEAL will never take pride in having killed people.

No Female SEAL

You would be surprised at the amount of people taken in by a woman who claims to be or have been a US Navy SEAL. Bear in mind that there never have been any female Navy SEALs.

Know a Real SEAL to spot the Fake SEAL

Know a true blue Navy SEAL so that you can spot the fake without batting an eyelid.

Navy Stew Recipe

Lee Griffith asked:

SPAM® luncheon meat, made from ham and pork, along with a few other
simple ingredients, was invented in 1937 by Jay Hormel. Since 1937
over 6 billion cans of SPAM® have been sold. There are many ways to prepare this
all-American classic, and there many recipes that have been developed using SPAM®. There is a lot of great information (and great humor) at the official SPAM® website
at:

http://www.spam.com

Did you know that SPAM® luncheon meat played a crucial role in the effort of the Allied forces to liberate Europe during World War II? Hormel Foods provided 15 million cans of SPAM® (invented in 1937 by Jay Hormel) to the troops each week, and SPAM® quickly became a regular part of their diet. Here is a SPAM® based stew that I developed from a recipe that was said to have been used in the galley of a U.S. Navy ship during WWII.

Griff’s American Navy Stew

Ingredients:

2 tbsp. butter

1 clove garlic

1 cup green bell pepper (with membrane & seeds removed), diced

1/2 cup chopped yellow onion

1/2 cup chopped celery

2 cups potatoes, peeled and diced

1 12 oz. can SPAM®

1 15.5 oz. can Trappy’s® navy beans flavored with slab bacon (or great northern beans)

2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce

1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves

1 tsp. Lawry’s® seasoned pepper (or black pepper)

1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce

1/2 cup water

Instructions:

In a large pan or pot, melt butter over low heat. Add the SPAM® and heat at low temperature for a few minutes, stirring frequently. Then add the garlic, bell peeper, onion, and celery and sauté until tender, but do not brown. Then add all other ingredients. Slowly bring to boil, cover and turn down heat and simmer for an hour or until potatoes are tender. Tastes great with fresh rolls and butter!

Navy Tattoos Are One of a Kind Tattoos - Find the Best

Tatum Tyler asked:

Navy tattoos were some of the first to show up on the scene. Sailors brought back the art of tattooing from their trips to far away lands. Nautical stars and anchors are very traditional navy tattoos. Nautical stars are making their way back into the mainstream. As with any tattoo design, you want to make sure you do not get a tattoo that you may see on someone else. I can tell you how to get unique tattoo designs.

Swallows are another popular tattoo that has its origins with the Navy. Swallows can’t fly far so they are always close to land. Sailors were joyful to see swallows because it meant they were near land. Some seafarers got swallows as navy tattoos before they left to help ensure a safe return home.

There is now a return to old school navy tattoos and anchors and nautical stars are coming back. This is a blend of old school and new school. You might now see an anchor with more color and other images added in to make it more noticeable. With more women in the service, you are finding more delicate anchors and nautical star designs.

No matter what type of tattoo you get, it must be personal to you. The more personal you make it, the more unique your tattoo will be. When you show off your tattoo you will have a great story to tell. To get some ideas on how to make your tattoo personal, go online to a tattoo gallery and look at designs. This will help you use your imagination.

Did you know that in a good online tattoo gallery, you can get unlimited access to thousands of tattoo designs. Seeing these designs in one place can give you thousands of ideas on where and how you want your navy tattoo. An online tattoo gallery will give you up to date, professional tattoo designs.

Navy Boot Camps

Eddie Tobey asked:

Navy boot camp is conducted at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois. It is a nine-week course and is physically and mentally taxing in the life of a navy trainee. However, this is the period that transforms a raw trainee into a hardened sailor. The first week is more about ethics and dress code. Trainees are taught how to dress up and how to fold and store their uniforms in their bags. Haircuts are provided and basic modes of addressing the instructors are taught. This is more of a morale-boosting period than anything else. Confidence-building continues in the second week and the fact that naval warfare is teamwork is emphasized upon.

The third week is more detailed. It includes hands-on information that the naval recruit would want in future. The art of navigating ships, signaling with flags i.e. semaphore and reading ship manuals, etc. is taught. This is also the time when money management lessons are given, which is necessary when away from home.

Weapon practice begins in the fourth week. M-16 rifles and 12-gauge shotguns are used. Training includes cleaning, loading weapons and stationary as well as live target practice. The importance of being out in the open is stressed, as navy recruits cannot utilize camouflage in the open sea. The fifth week is about career planning. Trainees are encouraged to think about what navy post would suit them. There are many one-on-one discussions at this stage among trainees and the instructors.

Live warfare simulation begins in the sixth week. It includes planning of strategies and disaster survivals. Gas-chamber drills are taught, which train to get away from life-threatening situations. Assignments are given to the trainees in the seventh week. There may be twelve of them, all battle-oriented, which the trainees are expected to complete using the skills learnt in the previous weeks.

This almost completes the navy boot camp. At the end, the trainee realizes what it takes to be a sailor and whether he or she possesses those qualities. When boot camp is completed, the trainee is called a sailor and is awarded the US Navy Ball Cap.

Dangers Of Buying Email Lists For Sale

Filed under: Internet And Businesses Online — Tags: , — admin @ 8:23 am
Tyler R. Martin asked:

We all know the benefits owning an email list and how it can drastically improve our business sales and also utilize the life time value of our customers. Since the dawning of the internet, we have seen increasing amounts of people starting to use the internet. They use the internet not only as a platform to socialize; but in recent years, more so as a convenient platform to do their shopping. As such, it has opened up lots of windows of opportunities for businessmen with the opportunity to tap on a customer base of millions around the world.

The basis of gathering emails from your prospects basically starts with a free offer that provides value to your prospects. Based on which industry your business is in, you can structure this differently. It could be access to a free sample of your product, a free e-report or even an informative newsletter. It is always good to start on the right foot and provide our customers with the proper content they inquire off, by setting off a good impression, customers have a higher tendency to return.

With that said, I would like to put this across that buying email lists and leads from online sources where deals such as, “email lists with millions of email available at only 100 dollars” may seem too good to be true. It usually is. Research has proven that the average customer needs at least 7 times of advertising to before they would budge and purchase your item, but how do you do that without them running off in the first place? This is where your own email lists come in handy as you can both provide relevant information that the consumer wants and at the same time promote your product.

Besides this, the problems with ‘purchased’ email lists are aplenty. Firstly, they might be unrelated to the product or service offering that you have. Secondly, you will never know for sure how the seller of these email lists got their emails. These might be emails that were harvested throughout the internet through the use of software. This means that the people on this email list never did opt-in or subscribed into any offer to be sent more emails. When you email these people, you put your business at risk due to the spam laws.

As we often talk about email marketing, what we really want to see is the increase in conversion rates of readers to buyers. The main purpose of having people subscribe into your email list is not to give away freebies for them to be baited into buying your products. Rather, you should be promoting your products via the information you are giving away, thus it is essential that the information provided is done by your company or yourself to be able to link it back to your own product.

Always think in terms of quality rather than quantity. Quality should always be the first aim of any company in gather email leads. By producing more customized and personalized services through these email listings, you are bound to see an increase in your sales and also an expansion in the amount of customers that you are going to have.

Unlock The Secrets To Zero Budget List Building Strategies

Filed under: Internet And Businesses Online — Tags: , — admin @ 5:27 pm
Mark A. Abrahams asked:

Let me ask you a significant question. Do you know how to
build a list without a budget? This is a very important
question because if you were like me when I was starting
out I did not have much money to get going. If you are
still battling to build a big list then I am going to go
through some free methods that you can use to build your
list.

You only make serious money by having repeat customers that
you can sell to over and over again. Driving traffic to a
website is a lot of effort. So you meed to maximize your
results so that you can market over and over again to your
list instead of praying that your sales page will convert a
visitor into a sale.

Write articles and submit them to the major article
directories. This is viral in nature and will help you to
get links in to your web site and improve your link
popularity consequently also improving your search engine
rankings. Just make sure that you create a name squeeze
page and send all traffic to it.

Start a blog. Use free blogging software like Blogger and
Wordpress to get your blog going. This is a lot easier than
updating and designing your own website as the software
does nearly everything for you. You can can also include
your blog posts in social media sites like Digg for more
exposure. Initially you can get traffic to your blogs by
submitting to blog carnivals.

Find forums related to your niche market and post
frequently. Answer other people’s questions and build your
credibility up. Just be careful not to blatantly advertise
as this will damage your credibility.

Use classified advert sites to post your advertisements.
Sites like Craigslist are extremely popular and will help
you to get traffic fast. Google especially loves an
authority site like Craigslist so you need to focus on low
competition keywords and piggyback on the good page rank to
get good rankings for your adverts.

Using the free strategies I have outlined here you can
easily build your list by 150 to 300 subscribers a month.

US Navy SEALs Coins - Real Story Behind US Navy SEAL Coins

Filed under: Shopping And Product Reviews — Tags: , , — admin @ 3:55 pm
James Kara Murat asked:

Think Navy Seals, and you think about Valor, Adventure, Bravery on the Battlefield, and, Commitment to the Country and its People. They are the stuff legends are made of and just about everybody wants a piece of them. There is a whole industry out there catering to the demands of a Navy SEAL crazy public, who want to wear the kind of clothing they supposedly wear on their mission, and are also mad about all kinds of mock combat gear that are a part of Navy SEALs mission specific gear.

However, the kind of gear that Navy SEALs use or employ is shrouded in mystery, so there are chances that what you might be buying off the shelf from a shop, might not be what a Navy SEAL wears or uses. If you really want a Navy SEAL memento or want to show your appreciation for the Navy SEAL, then look no farther than US Navy SEALs coins. These commemorative coins honor a Navy SEAL and his achievements.

The US Navy SEALs Coin

This coin is elliptical in shape and forged out of a brass alloy and comes with an antique bronze finish. The great thing about this coin is that the packaging of the coin contains a detailed header card.

The obverse of the Navy SEALs coin depicts a Navy Frogman in full combat gear, while the reverse features the trident which is the unique symbol of America’s Navy SEALs.

The History of the Coins

There are a whole lot of commemorative coins that are available, each focusing on a particular military regiment or special operations group. Moreover, all coins have a history behind them and so does the US Navy SEALs coin.

Legend has it that there was once US Army Air Service pilot whose plane was shot at and hence, was forced to land behind enemy lines. This happened during World War I. The French thought he was a German saboteur and were going to execute him, but stopped because of reason.

The Birth of the Coin

To put it in a nutshell, the man’s life was saved by a special coin. What was this coin? One of the wealthier members of the squadron had designed and made special coins that he then distributed amongst the rest of the squadron members. This gold plated coin had the squadron’s insignia inscribed on it. The French soldier recognized the insignia and freed him. His providential release provided the requisite inspiration for all members of the squadron to carry the coins at all times, on all missions.

The Tradition Spreads

The tradition of keeping customized military unit-centric coins spread from one branch of service to another and today they have become an intrinsic feature of even non-military organizations. The Navy SEAL coin is given to its members as a token of appreciation for their service to the country, or to improve their morale, or to welcome them into the SEALs fold.

US Navy SEALs coin is a prized possession for all the Navy SEALs fans and you can buy them from special shops which stock commemorative coins and memorabilia.

Diabetic Food List - What’s Good For Your Health?

Filed under: Health And Fitness — Tags: , — admin @ 11:54 am
Dr. Eswararamanan VR asked:

When a person has diabetes it is difficult to know what this person can and can’t eat. It must be very difficult to this person to nourish themselves. You would think of course that the person would have a limited diet of what they can eat but surprisingly, there are many things that they can eat. There are places you can go to get a diabetic food list.

As stated, there are many places that you can go to get a food list for diabetics. There are many, many sites online that are dedicated just to letting the public know what is good for a person with diabetes and what is bad for that person. You can also consult your doctor or even a health clinic near you to obtain a copy of said list.

Today we will cover some of the foods that have made it onto the diabetic food list. This is to give members of today’s audience an idea of what a person with diabetes goes through everyday and open society’s eyes to the fact that it is not that easy to live with this disease. Even though it is common, doesn’t mean that living with it is easy.

Now first and foremost, it should be known that a person with diabetes should eat from all of the 5 food groups and make sure that they have plenty of protein, vegetables, fruits, nutrients, Lipids and carbohydrates in their diet. This is where the diabetic food list comes in handy, you will be able to tell which fruits and veggies that you can eat for example.

It should be stated at this time that if you are diabetic, then you know that you should definitely eat more vegetables than fruit because fruit tends to be on the sweeter side, the whole point of being diabetic is that you can’t have too much sugars right? Also, it is common sense that you should stay away from sugars such as ice cream, chocolate and any types of sweet desserts because these are loaded with sugars that the diabetic food list will define as NOT the type of foods you should eat.

It is also stated that a person with diabetes should stay away from fats like fried foods and animal fats. This will not only harden your arteries but also add to the waistline too! A person who is following the diabetic food list will surely be eating steamed foods or boiled foods. There are some dishes that you can prepare that are steamed that taste divine!

It bears mentioning that the only types of oils that the diabetic food list recommends for someone with diabetes to cook with are olive oil, soy bean oil and finally corn oil. Now here is a quick run-down of what a person can eat that is in fact recommended by the diabetic food list.

- Milk, can drink fresh milk but never sweetened milk.

- Vegetables, both fresh and/or steamed or boiled vegetables will provide your body with the nutrients that you require to get through the day.

- Grains

- Meat, should at least have an intake of at least 100 grams per meal, be sure not to eat meats with a lot of fat.

- Eggs

- Fiber, every one needs fiber in their diet to stay regular!

Navy’s JAG Program

Filed under: News And Society — admin @ 8:20 pm
Victor Epand asked:

I am currently undergoing my BA in English at Sacramento State University, but I’m leaning toward a career in the justice dept. I have been looking around for a good place to do my post-grad work and get a law degree and I wondered about the possibility of working for the Navy’s JAG program.

Could you tell me some of the steps I would have to go through in order to work through the military and possibly some benefits to doing so (in your mind). Any help or advice you could give me would be very helpful.

To start, there are three ways that you could work for the military as an attorney. First, during your law school summers, the Navy (and what I say about Navy applies to all the services except the Marines, as they use Navy JAGs for the most part) runs a summer intern program that competes with the intern programs run by civilian law firms.

You can work for the Navy over the summer as an intern and get a competitive salary and great experience. Then, after law school, you can apply for a commission as a JAG officer and become a member of the Navy, or you can apply for a civilian attorney job with the Navy.

Search for more information about the Navy’s legal career program. As a JAG officer, I can tell you that it is a fascinating career. No, you will not be flying airplanes and saving the free world in 50 minutes like LtCdr Harm Rabb does on the TV show, but you will have a variety of legal assignments — criminal law, both prosecution and defense at courts-martial and civilian federal magistrate and district court; admin law, including contracts, administrative actions against sailors; legal assistance, including wills, powers of attorney, debtor-creditor, and landlord-tenant disputes; and claims, both for and against the US.

You will do this in a variety of locations, some exotic, and some boring. You may be on land or on a ship. You change duties every couple of years so you don’t get stale, and you become well-rounded. You also see promotions, 30 days paid leave per year, unlimited sick leave, annual pay raises, and good benefits — and poor housing on post. Overall, it is a great way to start out, and if you stay, it is a rewarding career. You will also be given the opportunity to get an L.L.M. degree, and you will be given extra money to help pay student loans for your schooling.

I hope that will help. I also will highly recommend getting good grades in college, keep up your GAP, take the LSAT and do well, and get into a good law school. Find one that offers activities beyond classroom - including mock trials and workshops. Take some criminal law electives, some administrative law, and some international law. Do that, and you will be well prepared for an exciting time in the services, be it three years or thirty.

Bathroom Remodeling Check List

Anna Hart asked:

Bathroom remodeling is the best way, after kitchen remodeling, to increase the sales value of your home. It can be a small bathroom remodel or a large one, but either one done correctly can garner a higher price when you sell your home. Even if you do not plan to sell in the near future, a bathroom remodel can make life easier and more enjoyable for your family.

A bathroom remodeling check list is not a necessity, but it comes close to being that. Before you launch your project, a bathroom remodeling check list can help you gather your ideas in one place. It can assist as you estimate time, cost, and effort involved. As you work, your check list will help you move smoothly from one task to another.

Your contractor may or may not use a bathroom remodeling check list. If you have one, however, you can ask that it be used. It will keep costs in line with the budget. It will be your game plan. It may also get you back into your bathroom sooner.

The bathroom remodeling check list we offer here may be different from others, but it can be adapted to meet your needs. You may want two lists, actually. Make one a list of necessities, and the second a list of optional things you would like in your bathroom remodel if possible.

Bathroom Check List

1. Design: Before you begin a bathroom remodel, take time to design the finished room. There are a number of helpful digital design software programs you can use if you are doing it yourself. You may want the popular Tuscany theme or a vintage design. If you hire a professional designer, work with her on this step before moving ahead. Look at samples and pictures of tiles, paint, fixtures, and other materials.

2. Permits: With your design completed, you know what you plan to do in your bathroom remodel. You need to get permits from your city or county. If you are using the services of contractors, be sure all permits are in order before work is started.

3. Walls: Will your bathroom remodeling project involve moving walls or refinishing them? If walls are to be moved, this may be the first step. You may want to add a new window, or move a door as part of your bathroom remodel. Plan carefully.

4. Floors: Most bathroom remodeling projects include some type of floor work. If tub, toilet, shower, or sink are to be moved, you will need plumbing changes. New holes will be made in your floor. You may need new sub floors. This step will probably follow the movement of walls.

5. Plumbing: This part of bathroom remodeling calls for a licensed professional. If you are not a licensed plumber, be sure you have one scheduled at the right time.

6. Electrical: Much bathroom remodeling involves changes in lighting fixtures. Changing a light bulb is simple. Adding lighting to a new part of the bathroom is not. As above, if you are not a licensed professional, schedule an electrician for this part of your bathroom remodel.

7. Decorating: Once walls and floors are done; plumbing and electricity are installed or re-routed, fixtures and other parts of your bathroom remodeling project reach fruition, it is time to decorate. No bathroom remodel is complete without themed decorating. Leave time to do it right.

Bathroom remodeling check lists are sometimes available from your contractor. A few contractors post detailed lists online. The important thing is to take time to thoroughly plan the bathroom remodeling project from beginning to end. Get an estimate from your contractor, or estimates from two or more contractors. Make sure everything is written down, with cost and time estimates. If you do, your bathroom remodel will be as painless as possible.
